Credit for recognition of previous studies

Students who are enrolled in the Veterinary Medicine programme can apply for recognition of subjects they have studied during a previous period of study, either at the University of Veterinary Sciences or at another tertiary education institution. The recognition of previous studies is governed by article 14 of the Study and Examination Regulations for the Master's programme, which sets out the following rules:

The completed courses and the related credits may be attributed to the student if they successfully completed the course not more than five years before and provided that the course was classified with a grade not worse than “Very good - C”.

In order to apply for recognition of subjects, students should submit evidence of their previous studies to the guarantor of the relevant subject and ask them to sign the recognition form. This should then be submitted to the study office. If the dean of the faculty agrees with the awarding of the credit for the subject, the recognition will be entered in the STAG electronic information system by the study officer.
